Tim Carey is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and teacher from Seattle, Washington. Tim performs regularly as a bass guitarist with various groups around the northwest and nationally. Some highlights include Groove for Thought, Jovino Santos-Neto, Marina Albero, The Nines, Xavier Lecourtier, Amanda Taylor, Gail Pettis, and many others. Tim currently teaches jazz band at Holy Names Academy in Seattle Washington, has previously taught theory and composition at Cornish College of The Arts (Seattle), and music technology at Bellevue College (Bellevue, WA). Tim also teaches private lessons on guitar, bass, theory, and composition in the Seattle/Bellevue area.

Tim is also an active arranger and composer both for educational applications and in the area of production music for television and film.

Tim leads several bands as well: A large ensemble featuring Tim’s arrangements of pop and jazz standards as well as a trio specializing in instrumental arrangements of songs written and recorded by the Beatles.
